We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our completely redesigned Women in Art Prize website. This new platform reflects our growing commitment to celebrating and elevating women artists, making it easier than ever to discover opportunities and submit your work.
The refreshed website showcases our expanded range of prizes, including our flagship £1,000 awards in Painting, Photography, and Sculpture. We’re particularly proud to highlight our special awards: the Susan Angoy Award for artists of African and Caribbean heritage, and the Tim May Memorial Prize for emerging artists, each offering £1,000 to support artistic development.
This year’s prize offering has grown significantly to include exciting exhibition opportunities at prestigious venues like Zebra One Gallery in Hampstead and Square Feet Gallery in Marylebone. Winners will also benefit from extensive media coverage, including features in Fabric Magazine, reaching 50,000 monthly readers.
We’ve introduced new age-specific opportunities, including awards for young artists under 26, the Riverstone Award for artists over 65, and a one-month Hosking House residency for artists over 40. Our commitment to supporting international artists continues with our £1,000 Overseas Artist Prize, which includes mentoring sessions and media coverage.
The culmination of this year’s prize will be celebrated with a prestigious Private View and Award Ceremony at The British Library Piggott Theatre, where winners will join the ranks of acclaimed women artists who have been recognized by the Prize.
Whether you’re an emerging artist or an established creator looking for your next opportunity, we invite you to explore the new website and consider submitting your work. The Women in Art Prize remains committed to discovering, supporting, and promoting exceptional female artists across all stages of their careers.
Visit our new website to learn more about our prizes, read the submission guidelines, and begin your application. Together, let’s continue building a more inclusive and vibrant art world.
